Privacy Policy

This page explains what happens with your data when you use boonvid. The controller is:

Your account

Email address, name if you give one, language, the time you signed up, and a sign-in code that is sent to your email (no password is stored).
Session: one cookie that keeps you signed in on this device.

Your orders and videos

The script and the voiceover you upload, the options you choose, and the finished video with its subtitles, sources and licence list. We need them to build and deliver your video and to let you download it again.
Build logs and the checks we run on every video (footage licences, picture-to-text match). They contain your script text.
Your minutes balance, bookings and referral codes.

Uploads and finished videos are kept as long as your account exists and for 90 days after an order, then deleted unless you keep them in your account. You can delete an order and its files at any time from your account, or by writing to us.

Building your video

Your video is built by automated systems. The text of your script is processed by our software and by AI services from third-party providers under contract with us; those providers process it only to answer our requests and do not use it to train their models. Your voiceover file stays on our own systems. Footage, photos and music come from licensed libraries; only search terms are sent to them, never your files.

Payments

Payments are handled by Whop (Whop, Inc., New York, USA). Whop sees your email, the plan you buy and your payment details; we never see card numbers. Whop's privacy policy applies to the payment itself. We store the order reference, the plan and the minutes booked.

Emails

We send the sign-in code, a note when your video is ready (if you asked for it), receipts, and the early-access launch email if you signed up for it. No newsletter without a separate opt-in.

Cookies, analytics and advertising measurement

Your language, appearance and cookie choice are kept in your browser (local storage and one cookie, bv_consent, 180 days). The session cookie keeps you signed in. Neither needs consent.

One optional service runs only after you accept it in the cookie banner or under “Cookie settings” in the footer:

Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) — anonymised statistics about how the site is used. IP addresses are shortened. Cookies _ga, _ga_* (up to 2 years).

Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings”. Withdrawing stops it on this device and deletes its cookies where we can.

Who processes data for us

Hosting and network providers (EU and USA), an email delivery provider (EU), the payment provider Whop, Inc. (USA), AI service providers (USA, under contract), and licensed media libraries (search terms only). All of them are bound by data-processing agreements; none may use your data for their own purposes. On request we name the current providers.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, receive a copy, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Write to hello@boonvid.com. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

International transfer

Firehorse Media LLC is a company in the United States. Data may be processed in the United States and in the European Union. Where required, transfers are covered by the processors' standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
